It’s family photo day for us. Special needs families and autism families face unique challenges with already stressful situations like family photos. It’s been nearly a decade since we had our last photos taken. Part of the reason why probably has to do with avoiding disappointment when we get the photos back and Abbie isn’t smiling. It’s something that we’ve grown accustomed to but it doesn’t make it easier. I think we might have gotten a smile this time. Here’s to hoping.
