A feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus.

Examples of different ways to experience ASMR~

🧠Physical ASMR
Feeling calm, sleepy, tingly or satisfied while having your hair brushed/styled/touched, getting your forehead rubbed or your face touched softly while getting makeup applied. Someone softly tracing upon your back.

🗣Auditory ASMR
Feeling calm, sleepy, tingly or satisfied while listening to a particular sound that triggers you. There are several different sounds that may trigger this feeling; such as a whispered voice, typing on a keyboard, water swishing sounds, listening to someone write, turn pages in a book, tap on objects, etc.

The stress of what has been going on in the world has manifested its way onto my skin. I started struggling with acne and stress breakouts back in March, and I wasn’t able to get in under control by myself. I tried everything: every product I could possibly find…I even adjusted my diet. I had reached my breaking point and decided it was finally time to consult with a dermatologist. This dermatologist put together an amazing new skincare regimen for me. And this will not only be my summer 2020 skincare routine, but it will be my 2020 skincare routine (for the rest of the year!) that I am going to stick to!

This is a combination of a morning skincare routine and a nighttime skincare routine. The morning time is a 7-step skincare routine, and the evening time includes a 5-step skincare routine. I believe having a consistent daily skincare routine is critical for the health of your skin, and it only takes a few minutes in the morning and evening to help you go from being a pimply mess to having glowing skin that’s clear and free of breakouts.

Finding a skincare routine for acne prone skin is VERY difficult. Figuring out how to get clear skin and building up a skincare routine that works for you is much easier said than done. That’s why I wanted to share my acne skincare routine with you TODAY… however, I do want to point out that this routine was built specifically for MY skin. It includes benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, a retinoid, and an acne face wash. You might need to adjust your unique skincare routine if you have dry skin or oily skin. And even if you have acne-prone skin like me, you should check with your doctor or dermatologist before getting on this exact regimen (many of the items are prescription-strength).

Throughout this video, I want you to focus more so on the ingredients of the products I am using (such as incorporating a retinoid into my skincare routine or using only oil-free skincare products, like my oil free cleanser) instead of the actual brands I’m using. Perhaps in a future video I will share my favorite skincare brands and the exact products I’m using to clear up my breakouts.

Something I discovered on my journey to clear skin was that it’s important to have a realistic skincare routine – one that works for you and doesn’t take hours to complete. I also realized pretty early on that this was going to be a long-haul. I have been following this routine for over a month now and my skin is STILL NOT PERFECT. I learned from my dermatologist how to put together a skincare routine that works for me and began exploring and discovering products I love.

A little bit about TAO Clean and the face brush you’re seeing here! TAO Clean stands for The Art Of Clean. Their face brush comes with a daily care head and an exfoliator head. I personally use my face brush in the evening portion of my skincare routine because using it 2x a day can make my skin quite sensitive (even with the gentler head).
